- Project details: service type, lighting zone preferences, color selections, and any notes you provide
- Photos: if you upload a photo of your home for the AI lighting preview, or if we retrieve a Google Street View image using your address
We also automatically collect basic technical data through Cloudflare, our hosting provider, including IP addresses and browser information. This is used for security, spam prevention, and site performance — not for tracking or advertising.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your estimate requests within 24 hours
- Generate AI-powered lighting previews of your home
- Communicate with you about your project
- Protect our website from spam and abuse
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is used only to serve you.
AI Lighting Preview
Our lighting preview tool uses artificial intelligence to generate a visualization of how lighting might look on your home. Here's how your data is handled in this process:
- Address lookup: If you choose "Use Google Street View," your address is sent to Google's Street View API to retrieve an exterior photo of your home. Google's privacy policy applies to this lookup.
- Photo upload: If you upload your own photo, it is stored securely on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage.
- AI processing: Your photo (uploaded or from Street View) is sent to OpenAI's image generation API along with your lighting zone and color selections to create the preview. OpenAI's usage policies apply to this processing.
- Automatic deletion: All uploaded photos and AI-generated preview images are automatically deleted after 30 days.
The AI preview is an artistic interpretation for visualization purposes only. It is not a guaranteed representation of the final installation and should not be relied upon for precise measurements, colors, or placement.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our website and tools:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security (Turnstile bot protection), and image storage (R2)
- Formspree — processes estimate request form submissions and delivers them to our email
- OpenAI — powers the AI lighting preview image generation
- Google — provides Street View imagery and fonts (Montserrat)
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We do not control how they handle data beyond the specific services we use.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All website traffic is encrypted via HTTPS (SSL/TLS) through Cloudflare
- Form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile bot detection
- API endpoints are rate-limited to prevent abuse
- No API keys or sensitive credentials are exposed in our frontend code
- Uploaded photos and renders are automatically deleted after 30 days
Cookies & Tracking
We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking. Cloudflare may set functional cookies necessary for security features like Turnstile bot protection. We do not run any third-party analytics, advertising scripts, or social media tracking pixels on our website.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for homeowners, property managers, and event planners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information from our records
We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
